Indoor Things to do with Kids in San Antonio
Have Fun Indoors Anytime of Year at These San Antonio Attractions
Let’s be honest. San Antonio is a great city, but sometimes the weather is less than ideal for outdoor activities. You don’t have to brave winter storms, but the heat, rain and humidity can be overwhelming at times.
The best way to overcome the elements is to go indoors. The climate control will make you completely forget about the triple-digit temperatures. If you know where to look you’ll find lots of fun things to do in San Antonio indoors.
Visit The DoSeum
When kids hear the word “museum” they think “school”, but The DoSeum it’s your standard learning center. The hands-on exhibits include rock climbing walls, mad scientist experiments and a spy academy. If your kids need something to do during their summer break, The DoSeum also has camps from June to August.
Rain doesn’t have to put a damper on the day if you’re a speed freak. K1 Speed has a huge indoor track for heart-thumping go-kart racing. You can go on your own and race against strangers, with a date or in a large group. When you’re waiting to line up (which can take time during peak hours) there are other games like air hockey and pool to keep you entertained.
Explore an Escape Room in San Antonio
Give yourself a break from the elements to explore a new world behind the doors of a San Antonio escape room. Outside it could be the middle of July in Texas, but inside you’re excavating clues on a frozen alien planet or in the depths of a cold mine far below the surface.
Extreme Escape stays busy year round no matter what the weather is doing. We’re a popular spot on Mondays during the Heroes Play Free promo, kids birthday parties and corporate team building events.
You’ll never know what you’ll find in a San Antonio escape room, but you never have to worry about the weather ruining your good time!
