Six Flags Fiesta Texas

One of the 16 Six Flags parks is located right here in northwest San Antonio. Visiting Six Flags Fiesta Texas is one of the most popular things to do in San Antonio during the holidays when the amusement park turns into an illuminated winter wonderland. But throughout the entire year you can hop on dozens of rollercoasters, watch live shows on the main stage and play games to take home a prize.

Monster Mini Golf

Looking for low-impact, high-energy physical activity with your entertainment? Monster Mini Golf is a screamingly good time for kids of all ages. The indoor mini golf course is illuminated by black lights that give a cool glow to the monster theme decor. After playing 18 holes you can hit the arcade to keep the fun going.

The Shops at La Cantera

Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth the trip to stroll through The Shops at La Cantera. This upscale, open-air shopping center draws in thousands of shoppers who can appreciate the meticulously maintained courtyards, huge selection of premier shops and fantastic eateries. You can easily spend the entire day indulging in retail therapy, dining at one of 15 restaurants, getting a salon treatment and leisurely perusing a bookstore to find reading material.

San Antonio Aquarium

Already visited SeaWorld a few times? The aquatic entertainment can continue at the San Antonio Aquarium. Pet a stingray, watch sharks feed and have loads of fun with the interactive exhibits. Even though it’s an aquarium, you’ll also get to see colorful parakeets, amphibians and hundreds of reptiles. The San Antonio Aquarium is on the small side compared to some aquariums, but the variety of animals and hands-on activities more than makes up for the size.
