Want to Know How to Escape the Room?

We can’t give you the secrets that are locked away behind the door, but this FAQ does offer valuable escape room tips and tricks.

What is an Escape Room Game Like?

If you’ve ever played a board game and wondered what it would be like to be in a real world, interactive setting, that’s the escape room concept. Participants are locked in a room and have an hour to get out. The escape room has a life-like setting that's completely immersive once you’re inside. You have to use that good ole grey matter to find clues and solve puzzles in order to successfully complete the challenges and escape the room before the clock runs out.

What's it Like Inside the Escape Rooms?

Extreme Escape takes it to the next level by incorporating multi-dimensional elements from the floor to the ceiling: life size props, hands-on props, theatrical lighting, sounds, and smells (yes, smells). Everything works together collectively to captivate the senses and provide an amazing experience that will make all other game nights seem weak by comparison!

What If Players Get Stuck?

Afraid of getting trapped if the riddles are too difficult to solve? Our game master can offer 2-3 escape room solutions to help move the game along. You can’t ask for the answer, but a clue or two can make a big difference.

Will We Be Physically Locked In?

Don’t let your claustrophobia stress you out! For the safety and enjoyment of all players, a participant may exit a live room escape game at any time if things get too real. Keep in mind, once you exit, you can’t re-enter.

How Do People Get Out of a Locked Escape Room?

The objective of an escape room game is to get out before the clock runs out, but finding an escape isn’t always easy. Many groups get close but come up a little short of escaping.

You can escape the room one of two ways:

  1. Solve the Clues in Time – Use your wits, critical thinking and communication skills to work with the other players and solve the clues. Solve them all before the clock strikes zero and the locked escape room will open.
  2. Ask to Leave – You might not be able to walk right out the door of a locked room escape game, but that doesn’t mean you’re trapped inside for an hour. You can ask to leave at any time. Just remember, once you leave you can’t re-enter the locked escape room.

Can Children Play an Escape Room Game or is it Just for Adult Age Players?

Extreme Escape welcomes players of all ages. Our attractions are designed for players that are 12 and older, but younger players can get in on the action in a few escape rooms where the immersion is less intense. Don’t underestimate younger players – you never know when their smaller hands will come in handy.

What Clothing and Shoes Should Be Worn?

You should wear comfortable clothing and shoes to ensure you have the best experience. Escape room games are active. While the game is more demanding on your brain than your body, you'll be on your feet moving around the room. In addition, it's always a good idea to dress in layers in case you get hot or cold.

How Many Players Can Participate?

Grab your family and friends, because an escape room is a team endeavor! Rooms have enough space for 6-10 players to band together with a single mission - getting out in time. Couples and single players are also welcome - you don’t need a full group of players. All games at Extreme Escape are private, so even if just two guests book the game, it will be private. Keep in mind the rooms can be reserved in advance. If you have a specific date, time, or room you want to play, it's best to book early to secure your spot.

Can Our Group Play Alone?

If you book out a room, it will just be your group playing. But you'll need to check the dates and times for a room to see if it's fully available.

What Languages Are Used in the Escape Room?

Our escape games are in English; however, there's usually a Spanish speaker at each location that can help guests.

What Is The Price?

1-4 Players = $39.99 per person

When Do I Need to Arrive?

You don’t want to show up late for a game that’s all about beating the clock! All “escapers” should arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled game.

What If I Need to Reschedule?

If something comes up that changes your plans, your game can be rescheduled within 24 hours of booking.

To reschedule, please call the location: Colonnade 210-641-2828 or Stone Oak 210-402-3722.

Now that you have the details, it’s time to see if you have what it takes to escape!
